- Memorial Place: Sutton-in-Ashfield Cemetery, Nottinghamshire. Near to War Memorial, take path on right side of memorial but it’s on the left side of this path.
- Information: GERTRUDE & LILY both died within hours of each other. It is most likely that they died of the flu epidemic that was sweeping the nation in 1918/19.
- Inscription: “In loving memory of BESSIE ANN beloved wife of JOSEPH STENDALL died Jan 7th 1928 aged 65 years/ also/ GERTRUDE and LILY daughters of the above died Nov 12th 1919, Re-United.” “JOSPEH The Beloved Husband of BESSIE ANN STENDALL Died July 27th 1917, Aged 59 years.” “Beloved Son JOSEPH STENDALL Killed in Action (France) April 27th 1917. Buried at Hargicourt, Aged 22 Years.”

- Memorial Place: From the “Nottinghamshire Free Press” Newspaper, dated November 15th 1919. It is most likely Gertrude & Lily died of the flu epidemic that was sweeping the nation in 1918/19.

- Inscription: “TRAGIC OCCURANCE - Much sympathy is felt with MRS. STENDALL of 13 Bentinck Street, who suffered a double bereavement on Wednesday night. Two of her daughters - MRS. WILDSMITH of Bentinck Street, and MRS. HUCKLEY, Park Street - died within a couple of hours of each other.”

- Information: John Spencer STENDALL was the son of Thomas & Jane born in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Member SONS002 tells us that they are buried beneath a large tiered black marble monument, which is slightly obscured by a tree & at the rear of the Church.
- Inscription: “In Loving Memory of John Spencer STENDALL of Allamoor Farm who entered into rest November 7th 1905 aged 69 years. R.I.P. Also Ellen who passed away February 14th 1924 aged 84 years. At Rest.”

- Information: Martha was the daughter of William STENDELL & Rebecca WARD. Martha married Francis BRAILSFORD on March 1st 1847. Entry supplied by Member SONS007
- Inscription: “In Loving Memory of Francis BRAILSFORD who died Nov 5th 1901 aged 81 years. Also Martha wife of the above who died Oct 18th 1869 aged 52 years. Interred at Farnley cemetry, Leeds.”

- Information: Wife & son of WILLIAM. Member SONS002 informs us that this grave lies directly in front of the Church where the path forks off.
- Inscription: “To the memory of REBECCA, wife of WILLIAM STENDELL who died Aug. 27 1851, Aged 64 Years. Also PETER their son who died July 25th 1821 Aged 7 Years.’ ‘No mortal woes can reach the peaceful sleepers here while Angels watch their soft repose.”
