“TRAGIC OCCURANCE - Much sympathy is felt with Mrs. Stendall of 13 Bentinck Street, who suffered a double bereavement on Wednesday night. Two of her daughters - Mrs. Wildsmith of Bentinck Street, and Mrs. Huckley, Park Street - died within a couple of hours of each other.”
Information: It is most likely Gertrude & Lily died of the flu epidemic that was sweeping the nation in 1918/19.
